Showing that eye beneath the hair is pretty weird...
wellllll....i like to make sure that everyone see's her eye's, they describe her fiery personlity...(red, fiery, get it? That was corny....)

What's wrong with that? I didn't get to see the original comic, but alot of anime has eyes that you can see through the hair. Just look at Ryu from Street Fighter (for a more popular example).. He's got one crazy jagged eyebrow that you can see going up into his hair, over his headband, and if he turns just right, sometimes it comes right off his face!
